RIX NANO N6 – 640x512 thermal clip-on with rangefinder

The NANO N6 is the most interesting piece in the entire RIX line-up. A clip-on that accepts no compromise in any direction - a 640x512 sensor, a 50 mm germanium lens and sensitivity below 15 mK in a body just 99.8 millimetres long.

Two devices in one

Fitted in front of your existing optics, it works as a clip-on with 1x magnification, so you keep your familiar riflescope and your zero. Taken off the barrel, it serves as an observation monocular with 3 to 12x magnification. You do not need to buy two devices.

NETD below 15 mK

Sensitivity below 15 mK is a value almost unheard of in this category. It shows itself in fog, in drizzle and at low thermal contrast, i.e. exactly when an ordinary clip-on shows nothing but noise.

Rangefinder up to 1500 metres

Clip-ons with a rangefinder are a rarity. The NANO N6 measures up to 1500 metres with one-metre accuracy and calculates the bullet trajectory.

460 grams

A clip-on's weight is added to the rifle in the least convenient place - right at the front. 460 grams is therefore a figure that matters, not a number for the table.

About the RIX brand

RIX Optics is an American brand based in Texas that has focused on a single goal since 2023 - packing as much performance per euro into a device as possible. Development takes place in Texas, manufacturing in Asia, and service for Europe is based in the Czech Republic.

5-year warranty. Devices with a 384x288 sensor or higher carry an extended 5-year warranty after registration within 30 days of purchase. Models with a 256x192 sensor carry a 3-year warranty.

Removable batteries. All RIX devices use common 18650 or 21700 cells. No proprietary battery pack - simply swap in a spare cell and carry on.

How the NANO N6 attaches

The NANO N6 is not mounted on the rifle, but fits in front of the objective lens of the day riflescope. On this side it has an M52 x 0.75 thread and needs an adapter ring matching the outer diameter of your riflescope's objective lens. The riflescope stays zeroed, so nothing needs re-zeroing after the clip-on is fitted.

We recommend pairing it with the Rusan MAR quick-release adapter ring, which we stock in fifteen sizes from 33 to 68 mm. The package also includes the MCR reduction ring. The adapter ring stays on the riflescope, you fit and remove the clip-on with a twist, and the point of impact does not change.
